It all started with a rash.
Over 20 years ago, my daughter struggled with severe eczema. We tried everything—lotions, steroid creams, elimination diets, countless holistic practitioners—but nothing offered lasting relief. The steroid creams would work briefly, then lose effectiveness, requiring stronger doses which I no longer felt comfortable using. Even store-bought creams burned her sensitive skin.
Desperate for something gentle and soothing, I blended a simple cream at home using natural ingredients. To our amazement, it didn’t burn—just calmed and soothed her skin. It didn’t heal the eczema completely, but it brought relief.
For years, this homemade cream has been our go-to. I eventually began gifting it in pretty jars at Christmastime. My family loved it, shared it with friends, and soon I was shipping it across the nation. What began as a cream for my daughter’s eczema turned into a nourishing night cream, a remedy for cracked hands, rough heels, diaper rash, and more. The testimonials have been amazing, and I knew it was time to take this gift and turn it into a real business.
Over time, I began to see that this cream was just the beginning. My daughter’s eczema would always worsen with stress, and I started to notice a deeper pattern—how much our environment, our nervous system, and our ability to slow down affects our overall wellness. My husband, a Marine Infantry veteran who served two deployments, lives with PTSD. Through his healing journey, I saw again how powerful a calm, nurturing home can be.
That’s when I realized my true calling wasn’t just about creating a moisture cream—it was about creating a feeling. A sense of peace. Comfort. Relief. My brand began to evolve into something more holistic: a way to bring the spa home, to support the nervous system with calming herbs, and to help women create sanctuaries of wellness in the midst of real life.
